I am an aspiring cycle tourist living in Austin. I would like to talk to you about your trip. I know I’m a bit late in contacting you about it, but I have just started my research into the “culture.” If you would contact me I have a few questions about your Surly, racks, gps etc, etc. I know you’re prolly a busy guy so any ttime you have to spare with info (moral support) is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Robin 422-9293
This ride is shaping up… RS and I ride the same kind of bike, a Surly Disc Trucker. You can get by with a lighter bike if you want too, but the Surly is a great tour bike. You can also contact me, his brother Jim, at 505.259.5575.
I don’t have a touring bike, but thought maybe I could ride the first leg with you all on my road bike and get a pick up at Inks Lake. Not sure if you want others to join your group for day rides. I live in Georgetown so Avery Ranch is closeby.
Thank you for contacting me. I missed it earlier but would be happy to ride with you soon.
We could definitely meet up locally for a Sat. ride and talk about the tours to come.
Lake Georgetown has a great remote campsite on the North Shore, accessible from Tejas Camp.
There is a great single-track and former dirt road along the North side to that camp but you
have to pack in and pack out everything. No toilets or running water. Nearest water is at
Tejas Camp near the camp host, about 3+ miles.
First off I would lik to say awesome blog! I had a quick quesstion in which I’d like
to ask if youu don’t mind. I was interested tto
find out how you center yourself and clear your head prior to
writing. I have had a difficult time clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out there.
I do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like tthe first
10 to 15 minutes are wasted just trying to figure out hoow
to begin. Any suggestions or tips? Appreciate it!
Thank you Charli!

something from their websites.
Thank you Ron!
